Dear Current Members, Supporters, Alumni, and DVA Families,

 

We have some exciting news to share with you about the future of the Delaware Volleyball Academy. 

 

First and foremost, we are restructuring the current management roles and responsibilities.  This will allow us to better position our club for the future as one of the top club volleyball programs in the CHRVA region.  Some of the best volleyball minds in the region have evaluated our program and have been hired to implement recommended changes for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. 

 

Secondly, we are forming a board of directors to strengthen our leadership, vision and strategy as well as improve the business side of our organization.  We are committed to remaining in the Wilmington, DE area.

 

Effective immediately:

 

Bob Bertucci, Head Coach of Temple University's Women's Volleyball Program will assume the position of Director of Coaching.   He will also review and recommend changes to enhance our college recruiting program.

Bai Qing Liu, Assistant Coach of Temple University's Women's Volleyball Program will assume the role of Technical Director.  He will also be overseeing our coaching education programs and developing DVA's training curriculum for the up-coming season.

Cameo Neeman will assume the position of Youth Director and Assistant Club Director.

 

Ed O'Donnell will lead our Developmental Programs and also act as Assistant Club Director.

 

Carroll Merton will be our new Business Manager.

 

Tom Wiechecki will be relinquishing his Club Director role at seasons end. We wish Tom all the best as he pursues new endeavors.

 

Richard Comly has been appointed President of the Delaware Volleyball Academy and Frank Garrett will assume the role of Vice President.

 

We are excited about the new changes that will continue to strengthen our program and help shape our future success.
